These natural mini shingles made of real wood, with their unique grain patterns, enhance the harmonious character of craft projects and birdhouses. They are ideal for model building, nativity scenes, or creative decorations and can be painted, varnished, or stained as desired. While they are ready for immediate use indoors, a simple treatment with oil or varnish also ensures optimal weather protection for outdoor use.

Please note that the shingles have a front and a back. The back of the shingles is often discolored to a dark shade. This is a result of the laser cutting process, during which the material becomes very hot for a brief moment. Nevertheless, the cut remains precise and straight. Be sure to distinguish between the front and back when using them. The edges have the typical brown discoloration typical of laser-cut material. Recommended installation:
Attach the individual shingles to the roof using wood glue.
Our mini roof shingles can also be easily laid end-to-end on wider roofs.

Our shingles and ridge strips are manufactured in the workshops of St. Martin Lebens Werk gGmbH—a recognized workshop for people with disabilities.
The “Biberschwanz” wooden shingles are lovingly handcrafted by the employees and thus represent true quality craftsmanship.
